DUBAI The United Arab Emirates, in a move that is bound to affect a significant number of foreigners coming to the country, has decided not to issue tourist and visit visas to women under the age of 40, the local press reported.
However, the ban will not cover women accompanied by their husbands or close relatives, the Gulf Today newspaper reported citing sources.
In the wake of reports of misuse of visit and tourist visas, the Immigration Department had also directed tour operators in the country to bring tourists in groups, and get information regarding the exact place where visitors would be staying.
The tourists would also be required to give a visit program during their stay in the country.
